Dear Colleagues

 It gives us great pleasure to inform that the 35^th   Annual National Conference of Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG) will be organized at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (S.G.P.G.I.M.S.), Lucknow from March 6 -8, 2010.

Ever since the sequencing of human genome, medical science has been revolutionized by application of new knowledge in diagnosis and treatment of human diseases. Therefore, theme of ISHG 2010 has been chosen as "Role of Genomics in Clinical Practice". The combined international symposium and 35^th Annual meeting of Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG) aims to provide a rich  intellectual feast in the form of ten technical symposia, numerous plenary lectures, orations, panel discussions, Young Scientist Award sessions and poster presentations spread over three days. Live debates will be held on the ethical and social issues related to genetic counseling, bio-banking and preservation of our genetic resources. An expert session on the need to introduce teaching of human genetics in the medical school curriculum has also been planned. We expect to have more than 100 national and international Invited speakers and 500 delegates. We hope that a large contingent of laboratory scientists, teachers, graduate students and medical consultants will experience the convergence of most potent ideas and powerful networking in human genetics. It is our earnest desire that the conference will immensely benefit the scientific community.
